Test Test Test, and Test some more. Get your friends, family, neighbours all to take a look at the site and give feedback.

Is it easy to use?
Can the user see how to contact you?
Does it put your message across?

I always find it good to ask someone who knows nothing about the project to take a look, and also a friend (Ill not mention their name) who is not very computer literate, to check out the site as much as they can.

Getting a fresh set of eyes on your new site is definately a good step when you launch a new website.
